To kick off my A to Z of Scottish music it has to be Arab Strap. It's hard to look past the dark songwriting genius of Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat, perhaps summed up best in Malcolm's alternative Christmas single "We're All Going To Die".Also in the running were newcomers Aerials Up (more-so for their previous incarnation, The Ads). Well worth visiting their MySpace to have a listen to their new sound!
